One of the gifts and chores of the New Year is a new calendar. Transferring all the necessary data from the past year, scheduling all the new data and looking at all those empty squares each month where nothing is written (yet). Just imagine the possibilities of all that unscheduled time – and new beginnings for personal time to fulfill new year resolutions, yearnings, develop new ideas, explore creativity.
Too often New Year’s Resolutions bring more disappointment or frustration (as we fail to meet them or forget them!) than the new beginnings we had hoped for. So this year how about focusing on Review, Revision, and Reevaluation instead?
We have been doing just that, and through the process have decided that this will be our last Conscious Creative Living blog. We have been posting our blogs now for almost 2 years, and while we’ve loved sharing thoughts and ideas with you about the value and life-changing benefits of creativity, we also realize that our own creativity needs some nurturing in new directions.
But don’t worry – you will still be hearing from us! Our focus this year will be on our upcoming novel about Liz and Dharma – the mysteries and fun of two aging single women. We’re finding alot of joy, challenge and insights into the stories within the lives of these characters and we’re purposely opening up time this year to make them come alive! In this chaotic and busy new year, we want to focus on what brings us joy – we cannot keep juggling all the balls in the air we have been trying to keep up with! And our new book has us enthralled.
So thank you for the creative journey we have all shared. We really value your interest, kindness and patience – and please be open to the highlights we will be sending you!
And what would the blog be without wishing you lots of open days this year to explore that wonderful creative side of you that is excited about new opportunities!!
Our very best to you as the year unfolds. Suzanne and Patty
